Artist and biodiversity educator

I am an Artist and Biodiversity Educator. Nature is my inspiration. Our existence is intertwined with the waterways, the oceans, the earth and the air that sustain every living thing. Our relationship and responsibility to nature is central to all my artworks and community events. I hope that my paintings will conjure for you something of the wonder and beauty of the places that we share.  Working with scientists allows me to broaden and deepen my understanding and using the tools of both art and science I create fun ways to discover nature with children and their communities. The biodiversity workshops, field events and festivals that I design and deliver aim to grow curiosity and a greater understanding and love of the natural world. Have a look at the video below.

COMMENTS ON ONE OF MY BIODIVERSITY FESTIVALS

The Knowing Nullaki Biodiversity Festival was designed and delivered by Angela Rossen in partnership with Louise Duxbury and Green Skills in 2022. Twenty three workshop and field events brought together people from all walks of life to discover and document the living things of the Nullaki Wilson Inlet and surrounding catchment area. Over 250 nature studies created by the people of Denmark made up this stunning survey exhibition. In this short video the Honourable Jane Kelsbie member for Warren Blackwood in WA reflects on the Knowing Nullaki Festival.
